Only 1 in 12 brewers in the craft beer industry are women, with even fewer being women from BIPOC communities*. This is a statistic that we need to change.

The LCBO Spirit of Inclusion Initiative champions equitable representation by funding scholarships, coordinating mentorships, and identifying paid co-op placements for BIPOC women looking to advance their careers in the beverage alcohol industry.

1 in 12 Phantasm NEIPA was created by a women-led team at Mill Street Brewery, in support of the LCBO Spirit of Inclusion Initiative. Through the launch of 1 in 12, we are contributing $20,000 to a scholarship dedicated to BIPOC women enrolled in brewing programs at Niagara College.

This unique New England style IPA is made with an abundance of Tropical New Zealand Hops with an addition of Phantasm, which gives it a this beer a juicy fruit note of Sauvignon Blanc grapes.
